Description
A sugar cookie like crust, with a cream cheese ‘sauce’ makes a yummy base of a twist on your favorite pizza recipe! This is always a crowd favorite! Bring copies of the recipe if you present it at a pot-luck!
Ingredients
- ¾ cups Butter
- ½ cups Confectioners Sugar
- 1-½ cup All-purpose Flour
- 1-⅓ cup Vanilla Chips
- ¼ cups Heavy Whipping Cream
- ¼ cups Granulated Sugar
- 8 ounces, weight Cream Cheese
- 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch
- ½ cups Pineapple Juice
- ½ teaspoons Lemon Juice
- Assorted Fresh Fruit
Preparation
Heat oven to 300 degrees.
Beat butter and confectioners sugar until light and fluffy; blend in flour (Double these amounts for a thicker crust).
Press mixture onto bottom and up side of 12-inch round pizza pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned, cool completely.
Prepare Vanilla Filling; spread on cooled crust. Cover; chill.
Prepare Fruit Topping. Cover; chill assembled tart.
Vanilla Filling instructions:
In microwave-safe bowl, microwave vanilla chips and whipping cream at high (100%) 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until chips are melted and mixture is smooth when stirred. Beat in cream cheese.
Fruit Topping instructions:
In small saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch; stir in juices. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened; cover. Meanwhile, slice and arrange fruit on top of filling; pour liquid mixture over fruit.
